As a key service provider to the water and wastewater sector, McKay has become a member of Water New Zealand - a national not-for-profit sector organisation focusing on the sustainable management and promotion of the water environment. Having delivered water projects for decades, McKay hope the membership will assist them in advocating for best practice in addition to advancing existing knowledge and innovations.
McKay provide electrical and engineering services to the water sector – including maintenance, design, install, electrical and automation engineering and smart water metering to name a few. The company has a range of ongoing water maintenance contracts with council organisations and have just completed major upgrade and build projects for Pukekohe, Rosedale and KeriKeri waste water treatment plants.
Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Edwards, said ‘We are consistently seeking ways to progress our technical capability in the water sector, with our teams providing ground-breaking technology in renewable energy and IoT solutions. This membership demonstrates our dedication to remaining at the forefront of the sector and we look forward to working with Water NZ to share our skills and knowledge and support the sustainable management of the water environment in New Zealand.’
