McKay continues to grow at an impressive pace in 2019 with the exciting addition of two new permanent McKay branches.

Following McKay’s success in securing a number of long-term maintenance and construction contracts, the electrotechnology company has decided to invest in its Bay of Plenty and East Coast Operations with permanent branches to be established in both Rotorua and Gisborne.

McKay’s humble Northland beginnings have proven to be a fantastic base for expansion as McKay becomes a central North Island contractor with expertise that spans across a range of electrical services and industries. In addition to McKay’s electrical infrastructure and industrial branches in Hamilton, Tauranga and Kawerau, McKay’s Rotorua and Gisborne branches will be open from mid-February 2019.

Having recently introduced new highly skilled personnel to the team, McKay has strengthened its capabilities in delivering specialist electrical maintenance, construction and engineering projects across industrial, commercial and infrastructure markets. Key personnel will be joining McKay on 18th of February from the old O’Donnell Griffin electrical business which has now closed.

McKay will be actively engaging the market to offer specialist capabilities in:

  • Instrumentation and Electrical Trades resources
  • Electrical Engineering and Power management
  • Hazardous Area Engineering and Trades
  • Automation and Control system Engineering
  • Lines technicians and Infrastructure construction
  • Full design, build, and maintain services

“We are beyond excited to have such fantastic talent join the McKay team and are certainly looking forward to strengthening our already impressive resources. 2019 is looking to be another outstanding year for McKay and we look forward to providing the best in electrotechnology services throughout the Bay of Plenty and now the East Coast” Says Ross Rowe, McKay Regional Manager for the Bay of Plenty.
