October 16, 2020
A demand for excellence and full service solutions has meant growth and a steady revenue stream for McKay in 2015.
Last week McKay Ltd, signed a $1million contract with Asaleo Care for the upgrade of the Kawerau Paper Machine Drive 2. The contract is the first contract to be awarded to McKay’s Bay of Plenty branch after McKay brought the ex-Downer- Tenix business in Kawerau July this year. This a full design and build contract that is scheduled for commissioning in April 2016.
Asaleo Care is a leading personal care and hygiene Company that manufactures, markets, distributes and sells essential everyday consumer products across various hygiene categories. Asaleo Care issued an RFP earlier in the year appealing for a contractor who could understand the scope of work required for a Paper Machine Driver Upgrade and provide a turn-key automation, electrical and mechanical package. "It took our team in Kawerau two months to secure the Asaleo Care contract on the back of the acquisition in July. It is a testament to their capabilities but also their commitment to developing strong relationships with our customers” said Lindsay Faithfull, Managing Director, of the McKay group of companies. “Through hard work and determination, McKay can now say that we are generating a steady income from the Bay of Plenty region for the first time”.
