Ministry of Defence Shortlists McKay for Awards

The Ministry of Defence announced today that McKay had been shortlisted for “Minister of Defence Awards of Excellence to Industry”. The Defence Industry Advisory Council (DIAC) established the awards in 1998 to highlight and reward the contribution made by industry to Defence.

McKay will be competing in:

Category B – the provision of superior services to Defence.

Category C – The provision of outstanding commitment to Defence.

McKay have an established based in Devonport, Auckland where they currently fulfil a 30 year contract with the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN). Under this contract McKay provide a help-desk service for the electrical systems on the Project Protector Fleet. In addition McKay  carry out upgrades and modifications to the fleet and assist the RNZN with major projects such the ANZAC Frigate Platform Systems Upgrade (PSU) which has recently been completed.

The winner will be announced  at the Awards presentation at the TSB Arena in Wellington, on Wednesday 18 November 2015.
