McKay Becomes a Member of SEANZ

Having delivered some exciting sustainability and renewable energy projects across New Zealand, McKay are pleased to announce their recent membership with SEANZ – the Sustainable Energy Association of New Zealand. As McKay has applied R&D resources to this area in the last few years, joining SEANZ was a natural next step for McKay who now employs over 400 people across the country.

SEANZ’s key goal is to develop a resilient energy system that provides energy independence, energy democracy, and protection of our natural environmental resources to help protect future generations, and McKay are keen to support this vision.

McKay as an electrotechnology provider is already developing cutting edge electric propulsion and onshore charging solutions that are being utilised for the Southern Hemisphere’s first fully electric ferry in addition to working on plans for New Zealand’s largest solar farm. Furthermore, McKay are a leading provider of EV charging stations in NZ and are a firm supporter of EV transportation with their own electric vehicle fleet.

McKay is also a member of the New Zealand Hydrogen Association and works closely with other partners and professional bodies to support the Government’s goal of a zero-carbon future.
