Ward Chandler Electrical Supports Social Enterprise 'Drink My Coffee'

Canva Design DAEKbQvOo0IMcKay’s subsidiary company, Ward Chandler Electrical recently sponsored and completed works for a social enterprise called “Drink My Coffee” to help them get established. Drink My Coffee is doing some amazing things in the diversity space by creating jobs for people with disabilities to manufacture coffee, distribute coffee and be self-employed by selling coffee.

Ward Chandler Electrical ran a power supply from the Café Switchboard to the loading dock, at the loading dock they fitted and terminate a PDL56 series socket outlet. The loading dock is equipped with a hydraulic lifter to aid the lifting of heavy fresh sacks of coffee beans and other products from the loading bay ground level to the service floor. Drink My Coffee have partnered with Eightthirty to roast their coffee at their premises in the Auckland CBD which is where the loading dock was installed. These works will take a lot of stress away from the Drink My Coffee Team as quite often they suffer difficulty with lifting heavy products from the loading bay to ground level.

Adrian Coysh, the founder of Drink My Coffee has three children who were born with congenital sight degeneration. Adrian was driven by his children’s experiences to make a change to how people with disabilities can enter into the worIMG_0500kforce. Adrian saw an opportunity to help people with disabilities get jobs in the workforce with the support that they need. Adrian stated, I have put myself under pressure to try and find a solution for those who I could see were going to be severely challenged in today’s market.” Adrian hopes that Drink My Coffee will provide people with disabilities with the confidence and support to enter the workforce.
